Software engineer with a diverse background, including experience in government, military, and business. Brings GIS experience in both field/operational and support roles. Has worked at dymaptic since 2022 and is a member of the Development Team, collaborating with the GIS Development Team on internal and client software projects. Developed organizational data-based AI chatbots, AI programs bridging application-to-application actions and interactions, and AI tool-integration servers (Model Context Protocol/MCP) in C#, Python, and React to integrate various AI tools/models with organizational resources and third-party software. Demonstrated leadership and collaboration experience with a variety of stakeholders, clients, and coworkers as a U.S. Army veteran, successful small-business owner, and in software development roles. Effectively applies analytical, systematic, and problem-solving experience to new challenges. Authored software/GIS blog posts, contributed to AI newsletters, and presented at GIS conferences. Born and raised in Okanogan, WA; has lived and worked in different places around the U.S. and the world. Currently lives in Vancouver, WA with his wife and daughter.
