James Mudd is the GIS Director for the Puyallup Tribe of Indians, where he leads enterprise GIS services supporting Tribal programs, planning initiatives, and data-driven decision-making. With over two decades of geospatial experience, he specializes in enterprise GIS architecture, spatial analysis, and applications in natural resource management and land use planning. James oversees GIS strategy, staff leadership, and administration of ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online platforms across Tribal departments. Previously, he held senior GIS roles with the Coeur d'Alene Tribe and Scenic Hudson, implementing enterprise systems and advancing conservation planning initiatives. His work integrates web and mobile GIS, Python automation, and UAS drone mapping. James holds a Master of Environmental Management in Resource Ecology and carries multiple credentials including GIS Professional (GISP), FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot, and Esri Certified Enterprise and Desktop Professional.
