About me
Heather Spalding is PEI's Associate Director of Green Jobs and Career Connect Washington’s sector leader for agriculture and natural resources. She builds career pathways with K-12 districts, employers, tribes, and workforce and post-secondary partners. She has developed sustainability, leadership, and international programs at organizations like Central Washington University and Portland State University (PSU). She has served in advisory roles for the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education Sustainability Knowledge Community, as Board President for a Sustainable Development Goals Regional Centre for Expertise through United Nations University, and proposed and co-wrote sustainability standards for the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education. Heather completed her M.S.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Policy, B.S. in General Science from PSU, and Permaculture Design Certificate with Toby Hemenway.
